June 1 – Festival of the Holy Trinity (Holy Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni)
The Holy Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni, the protector of Lefkada, celebrates the Holy Trinity with grand religious ceremonies and many pilgrims from all over the island. The festival combines spiritual devotion with local traditions, offering a unique opportunity to experience the authentic religious heritage of Lefkada.
June 1-8 – PHOTOkyttaro: The Art of Photography through the “Invisible Threads”
A photography exhibition presenting the concept of “Invisible Threads” through the work of various artists, connecting life, relationships, and memory. A chance to discover the local and contemporary scene of art.
June 6 – Eve of Pentecost Vespers (Holy Monastery of Faneromeni)
The beginning of the Pentecost religious festival is marked by the eve vespers in the afternoon at the Holy Monastery of Faneromeni, where the faithful gather to prepare spiritually for the following days.
June 7 – Open Farm Days at Lefkada Micro Farm
A unique experience at Lefkada’s open museum and accessible farm, where visitors can learn how the famous white olive oil is produced, taste traditional products, and enjoy nature through guided tours and activities.
June 7 – Festive Vespers of Pentecost (Holy Monastery of Faneromeni)
On the same evening, the Holy Monastery of Faneromeni holds the festive vespers of Pentecost, a significant religious ceremony that culminates the festival.
June 8 – Hierarchical Divine Liturgy (Holy Monastery of Faneromeni)
The day of Pentecost begins early with a hierarchical divine liturgy, followed by a procession of the Holy Icon, which is the central event of the festival.
June 9 – Orthros and Hierarchical Concelebration (Holy Monastery of Faneromeni)
The final day of the festival includes morning Orthros and concelebrated liturgy, with a procession closing the rich program of religious events.
June 13 – Connect Ionian Festival
At the New Seafront Square of Lefkada, this festival offers a celebration of music and culture with live performances by local and international artists, creating a lively atmosphere.
JULY
July 6 – Festival of Saint Kyriaki (Lygia)
One of the island’s most beloved festivals, held in the picturesque village of Lygia. The celebration combines religious worship with traditional flavors, live music, and local dances, attracting locals and visitors alike to a festive atmosphere.
July 18 — “Neither Forward nor Back”
A delightful satirical comedy by Thanasis Papathanasiou and Michalis Reppas that humorously exposes the madness of everyday life. Featuring well-known actors such as Chrysa Ropa and Antonis Loudaros, this performance will make you laugh and think at the same time.
July 21 — “Another Thebes”
A contemporary play by Sergio Blanco, directed by Vaggelis Theodoropoulos, starring Thanos Lekkas as a writer. A performance full of intensity and depth, with Dimitris Kapouranis standing out, recipient of the Dimitris Horn Award.
July 26 — “Him & Him”
A classic and beloved work that blends absurdist theater with satire and free humor. Directed by Alexandros Rigas, featuring renowned actors like Giorgos Konstantinos and Dimitris Starovas, promising a subversive and hilarious experience.
July 28 — “Philoctetes” by Sophocles
A masterpiece of ancient tragedy where Odysseus organizes a deceit, starring Giorgos Kimoulis and Dimitris Gkotsopoulos. A journey into Greek mythology with a contemporary and dramatic tone.
July 30 — “Death of a Salesman” by Arthur Miller
The iconic play by the American playwright exploring the life of a desperate traveling salesman and the dream of success in a capitalist society. A performance full of tension and psychological depth.
July 31 – Theatrical Performance
The comedy “Grandpa Has High Blood Pressure” by Dimitra Papadopoulou comes to Lefkada on July 31 at the Open Theater of Lefkada, at 21:30. Laughter, twists, and grandpas with… blood pressure in a delightful evening! Tickets: €20 (€18 reduced).
Throughout July – Festivals of Literature and Arts
The Lefkada Cultural Center organizes a rich program of theatrical performances, music concerts, art exhibitions, and literary evenings. These events are a cultural staple, attracting art lovers from all over Greece.

August 1 — Tsouvelas | ALIEN
The unpredictable Alexandros Tsouvelas takes us on a journey with improvisations, multilingualism, and unique comedic wit. A show full of humor and original effects that keep the audience captivated.
August 4 — “Antigone” by Sophocles
One of the greatest tragedies of ancient Greece, directed by Themis Moumoulidis, starring Lena Papaligoura in the title role. A powerful drama about the clash between law and morality, timeless in its message.
August 6 — “Helen – The Trial of a Prostitute” by Miguel del Arco
A monologue that overturns myths around Helen of Troy, starring Lydia Koniordou with live music by the legendary guitarist Babis Papadopoulos. A performance filled with intensity, history, and music.
August 6 – Lentil Festival in Englouvi
At the chapel of Saint Donatos, lentil producers celebrate the harvest with traditional recipes, music, and dancing. A visit is worth it for authentic taste and a lively festival.
